Seaside Romance: A Dream Wedding on the Danish Island of Bornholm

After living in Denmark for 11 years, Bornholm has always been high on my list of places to visit. I’d often heard stories about its breathtaking beauty—rolling hills, dramatic rocky cliffs, and stunning seafront views. It sounded like something out of a fairytale, and now I can confirm: it truly is.

Caroline and Anton’s wedding day was set against this magical backdrop, taking place at the iconic Strandhotellet. Perched right on the edge of the Baltic Sea, this historic hotel has welcomed Nordic holidaymakers since 1895. With sweeping views of cliffs, sandy shores, and endless waves, it's hard to imagine a more picturesque setting for a wedding.

The day began quietly, with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm, just-baked bread filling the air. As the couple prepared for the day ahead, I captured the tender morning moments that mark the beginning of something unforgettable.

After a heartfelt ceremony, we made a short walk to the nearby pier—a peaceful spot just minutes from the church. Strolling hand-in-hand along the wooden boards, Caroline and Anton shared quiet glances and laughter while I captured their joy with the sea as our backdrop.

Then it was back to Strandhotellet, where their celebration continued in the most beautiful way—surrounded by loved ones, the sound of waves, and the timeless beauty of Bornholm.
