Intimate Elopement in the Heart of Copenhagen

This Copenhagen elopement will forever hold a special place in my heart. When a friend reached out asking if I’d photograph a couple passing through the city on their way to Iceland, I was immediately intrigued. There was a twist: they’d arrive in just two days, didn’t speak English, and we had only two hours to capture their love story—including an outfit change!

I thrive on challenges and quickly began mapping out the perfect route around Copenhagen, planning every detail to make the most of our limited time. Yet, as the day approached, I couldn’t help but feel a little nervous. But the moment I met the couple, all my worries melted away. Despite the language barrier, we connected instantly, sharing laughter and smiles that bridged any gaps in communication.

As we explored the city’s iconic landmarks, I had the idea to rent a bicycle—not just to move quickly but to add a unique touch to their photos. It was a spontaneous decision that turned out to be magical. The charm of the city combined with the joy of the couple created moments that felt like they were straight out of a romantic movie.
